ActiveNet Membership Training
Membership Account Creation and Enrollment Instructions.
The ActiveNet Training was created in 2020 with the potential new User Interface. As an Association, we decided not to upgrade to the new User Interface. This addendum was created in 2025 in an effort to simplify the practice receipts that are needed to be complete the training. After watching the ActiveNet trainings, please complete the registrations below. Please print out these receipts and submit with your request for full ActiveNet access in an IT ticket.
1. Create an account with the first name of your elementary school best friend and use your favorite color for the last name.
a. E.g., my elementary school best friend’s name is Jarret. My favorite color is black. So, I will create an ActiveNet account with full name “Jarret Black”.
b. For Address and phone use the address and phone of your home center. For example, if you work at the Anderson Munger Family YMCA, use their address (4301 W 3rd street, Los Angeles, CA 90020) and phone number (213-427-9622).
c. Use their name to create an email, e.g., JarretBlack@ymail.com
d. For date of birth use 1/1/2000
e. For emergency contact use
i. Mom for first name and your favorite color for last name, e.g., “Mom Black”. Please make up a phone number.
2. Create a partner, make up a first name and use the same last name.
a. Use all similar information for contact information, and create a similar email.
b. Use 1/2/2000 for their birthdate
- Click on “Add new customer to selected family”
- Create a child to add the family
- Enter a birthdate that makes him 11years old, let’s name him “Mickey”.
- Click on “Add new customer to selected family”
- Create a child with the birthday that makes her 5 years old, let’s name her “Minnie”.
- Click on “Add new customer to selected family”
- Create a child with the birthday that makes him 2 years old, let’s name him “Donald”.
- Click on “Add new customer to selected
- Sell the main member a family membership
a. Leave Package Name blank
b. Choose Category “Family” from the Category drop down.
c. Choose Site “YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles”
d. Click on Search and choose the “Metro Training Family Membership 16th”
e. For Automatic Renewal payment information, choose electronic check.
i. Use “000” as the account number
ii. Use “111” as the routing number
iii. For “Account Type” choose “Checking” from the drop down.
f. As you complete your sale, choose Check, and enter 007 as check number.
Enroll in Swim Lessons
1. Let’s enroll Minnie and Donald into Swim Lessons
2. Go to Mickey’s Customer Account page.
3. Click on Start New Receipt
4. Click on “Enroll” from the Registration screen.
5. Choose “Swim Lessons: Preschool 3-5 years old” at the “YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles” site.
6. Complete the swim lesson registration
7. You may choose a check as the payment method following the same instructions as the membership enrollment above.
8. Repeat the above transaction, this time enroll Donald into the “Parent & Child: 6-36 months” swim lessons.
9. Print both receipts and attach them in your email requesting ActiveNet access.
